Taking your family to Harrison's Cave requires a bit of planning. You need to match the activities to the ages of your children. The park divides activities into passive sightseeing and active physical challenges.
Is the tram tour at Harrison's Cave safe for toddlers?
Yes, the Signature Tram Tour is safe and suitable for very young children.
The electric tram rides smoothly through the subterranean passages. Guests of all ages wear provided hairnets and helmets. The constant 27°C (80.6°F) temperature keeps the cave warm, so you do not need heavy jackets for the kids. The ride lasts roughly 60 minutes.
How old do kids need to be for the Monkey Zipline?
Children must be at least 6 years old to ride the Monkey Zipline.
The 100-ft high multi-cable canopy flyover has strict safety rules. Aside from the minimum age of 6, riders cannot exceed a maximum weight of 285 lbs. Closed-toe shoes, such as sneakers, are mandatory for anyone attempting the zipline or the Gully Challenge Course.

Are there kid-friendly activities outside the cave?
The Nature Trail, Tropical Bird Aviary, and Green Monkey Pool are excellent for children.
After the 60-minute tram ride, families often walk the scenic Nature Trail. The Bird Aviary features island-native birds. If you want to swim, bring swimwear for the children to use the Green Monkey Pool. Swimming inside the actual cave is prohibited.
What are the rules for children at Harrison's Cave?
Any child under 13 must be accompanied by an adult on all tours.
Safety is tightly managed inside the limestone caverns. You cannot let children touch the stalactites, stalagmites, or natural rock formations. This protects the environment from damage. Children also must keep their helmets on at all times during the Boyce Tunnel briefing and the tram ride.

Which Harrison's Cave tickets are best for families?
The Signature Park Pass is the most straightforward option for families with younger kids.
This base pass includes the tram tour, the bird aviary, and the nature trail. It costs $65 USD per adult. Full Adventure Passes, which add the zipline and challenge course, range from $135 to $185 USD. Prices vary by booking platform and often change.
